718 BCE / XXXV Ann. Urbe Condita
The silence of a warm and tranquil night,
Broken by a magic goddess bored;
Hecate sought to give Marie a fright,
And acted, silent, of her own accord.
Marie was busy, helping newbs aboard,
Who sat together — snacks for all around!
Hecate listened in and came toward,
And with a wicked laugh,
she split the ground.
Marie began to fall, and all around,
The wingèd creatures fluttered where she sat
. She slashed and tried to kill them but she found,
Hecate had turned her to a bat.
She thrashed and called on Milkymike for aid;
Took ages, but, at last the pair was saved.
