Official Server Rules

Aeterna Rules

1. Town/Nation Rules must be followed by it’s citizens and take PRECEDENT in resolving player-on-player disputes, however they do not, cannot, and will not ever overwrite Server Rules or Staff Decisions.
   
2. No racism/sexism/other kinds of unacceptable offensiveness. This server has zero tolerance. First time offenders will receive an immediate temporary mute of 24hrs.
   
3. No Bullying, this includes harassment.
   1. Do not be a bad sport, the stay on the server should be enjoyable for every player.
   2. If a player tells you to explicitly stop carrying out an action, be considerate and listen to their request.
   3. Try to act mature even when you are offended, contact a staff member instead of insulting others.
      
4. No hacking/x-ray clients are allowed. This includes x-ray and x-ray related resource packs. First time offenders will receive an immediate temporary ban of 24hrs.
   1. However, the following mods are allowed: Any minimap (that does not show player location), Optifine, any Shaders, Inventory Tweaks.
      
5. No advertising other servers or Minecraft communities.
   
6. Minimal Use of obscene language.
   1. Use of obscene language to insult as well as use of caps lock and spamming will result in an immediate mute and warning from staff.
      
7. Never exploit bugs on the server. Report them to staff.
   
8. No grief of server structures / staff developed areas. No grief of Town or Faction claimed land unless in a declared war.
   1. Manipulation of this rule through use of lava/water, TNT launchers or redstone machines will result in immediate action from staff.
      
9. Players can only be a member of one Town/Faction at a time.
   
10. No towns may be founded and run within the nether world or end world. All settlements must remain in the primary over-world.
    1. This includes but is not limited to: Outposts where players consider a primary domicile.
       
11. AFK and fully automatic mob farms are banned. "AFK: If you use a macro and/or AFK pool to keep the farm running Automatic: if the farm harvests drops itself"
    1. All Farms must be able to be toggled "On and Off".
    2. The amount of any mob type within a mob farm is to be limited at all times to avoid lag.
    3. Large scale farms of any type are to be known to staff for moderation purposes.
    4. Any player found to be breaking these rules will be punished and the farm removed.
    5. Food farms are ok as long as they follow the same guidelines outlined above.
    6. Farms are, at any given time, at the determination of staff to be illegalized. As of this posted date above, they remain legal with strict guidelines.
       
12. Redstone-based farms of any type are to be limited in size as to not cause lag.
    1. Redstone farms use items such as: Pistons, Observers, Dispensers, Flying machines If you are unsure about your farm, contact a staff member for clarification.
       
13. If you believe staff is abusing, please provide visual evidence and statements from multiple key witness players. Unless warranted and heavily backed by evidence, claims of staff abuse will be disregarded and players may be punished for harassment. It is the key purpose of those given staff to provide a safe and fun environment for players, not to abuse.
